Job description
The Arborist must demonstrate strong versatility across the full range of arboricultural services we offer, including consultation with residential clients. This person will sometimes work under the direction of the crew leader (on pruning job sites) and at other times work independently while preparing quotes and/or carrying out consultations. They must be able to manage a pruning job site and assist the crew leader and owner with other related tasks, including: estimates, consultations, tool and equipment maintenance, errands on behalf of the company, and more.
We are looking for local candidates or individuals interested in settling in the Outaouais.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pruning, or ISA Certified Arborist certification, or post-secondary education in arboriculture
- In-depth knowledge of tree physiology
- Strong proficiency with specialized tree care techniques: various pruning methods, cabling, complex dismantling, soil amendments, etc.
- Strong ability to diagnose tree health and structural issues
- Strong communication skills with clients and the ability to provide relevant tree care recommendations
- High level of comfort with all specialized tools and equipment
- Ability to manage a pruning job site
- Comfortable driving heavy vehicles towing a trailer
- Team spirit, enthusiasm, initiative, and a strong work ethic
- Good physical condition
- Valid driver’s licence
Assets
- Experience in contract sales (quoting)
- Experience in consulting (ISA Certified Arborist or post-secondary education in arboriculture)
- Bilingualism

- Competitive salary, to be discussed based on qualifications and experience ($35/hour and up)
